Who in the bloody fucking hell designed Raven’s new costume? Cuz I’d like to punch them straight in the nuts. I have never seen anything so hideous in all my life.

that’s Raven!?

Yep. Horrifying, ain’t it? Like staring the reanimated corpse of a friend you used to love.

Breaking News: James Tucker is the new Supervising Producer of all DC Animated projects effective immediately as the previous Supervising Producer, Bruce Timm (one of the architects of the DC Animated Universe alongside Alan Burnett, Paul Dini, and later Dwayne McDuffie), is stepping down to work on other projects.

Mr. Tiucker’s no wide-eyed newcomer to DC Comics animated media. He has worked on numerous titles. He directed five  episodes of Static Shock (including the very first episode) as well as episodes of Batman Beyond (which gave him an Emmy) and Legion of Super Heroes, which he also produced. Other producing credits include Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Mr. Tucker is also the director and producer of the upcoming DC Animated film Superman Unbound.

I think DC Animation is in good hands for the foreseeable future.

Good!

I am curious to see how this effects SMGO.tv talks and future DC Nation negotiations.

I’m sure most people have heard about the Veronica Mars kickstarter that reached their 2,000,000 goal in 11 hours. Nuts. Absolutely nuts. And I’m so freaking happy.

It got me thinking. What about YJ or GL?  Would YJ or GL be able to have a goal of 2,000,000 and make it?

At time of writing this, the bring back yj and green lantern petition has 31,000 signatures. I know a lot of them are fake, unfortunately.

But I calculated it out anyways. And basically, in order to get 2mill all 31,000 people must donate at least $64 to the kickstarter.

Veronica Mars worked because most of the fans are out of college/in college and can pay for it. But what about YJ/GL?

Reblog/like if you would be able to donate at least $64 to the campaign. Let’s show that we can make this happen.

I’m willing to donate more than that. But we still need to figure out whether or not this could actually work if we did raise enough money. Logistics and such.

Logistics are of course important, but I would be willing to put in more. And realize that with kickstarters, it’s not just donations … you get rewards with it and often that means the actual product being made. The Veronica Mars kickstarter has rewards including a digital download of the finished movie as well as a physical copy for those willing to pay more.

even if people could donate less, with a kickstarter maybe we could get more people?

And probably they would need less than 2mill because I’m assuming tv shows cost less than feature-length movies.

Y’all, cartoons are something like $100,000 to $1,000,000 per episode to create. I just don’t see this as feasible and why would you give your money to corporate folks who already screwed you over when you could just fund other people trying to make new and original cartoons with no middle man?

SON FORREAL.

I refrained from suggesting as much because I am already #sofuckingover the networks and have gradually become disillusioned with appealing to them, and I’m p.much 110% percent about circumventing them so maybe I was biased—

But.

No one’s getting out alive

In tribute to the many, many young children DC has fridged, shelved prior to the reboot, or lost in the reboot. While there is no shortage of dead teenagers, thank you Teen Titans, I wanted to focus on the truly young children of DC.

No one in this photoset is over the age of twelve.

Pictured here:

  • Adam Grant, son of Cat Grant
  • Billy Hong, son of James Jesse and Mindy Hong
  • Helena Kyle, daughter of Selina Kyle and Sam Bradley Jr
  • Rani, adopted daughter of Booster Gold
  • Traya Sutton, adopted daughter of Red Tornado and Kathy Sutton
  • K’hym J’onzz, daughter of J’onn J’onzz
  • Iris and Jai West, twin children of Wally and Linda West
  • Robbie Long, son of Donna Troy and Terry Long
  • Lena Luthor, daughter of Lex Luthor
  • Josh Mardon, son of Mark Mardon and Julie Jackham
  • Arthur Jr, son of Arthur Curry and Mera
  • Cerdian, son of Garth and Dolphin
  • Lian Harper, daughter of Roy Harper and Jade Nyugen
