There is a movie. About BUTTER. In which a small black girlchild plays a big role. Her story is one that helps motiviate and move the movie. There is apparently a racist tirade in said movie, against her.
The little brown girl is not on the posters of the movie - all the white people in her life, however. Are.
In this movie she’s - of course a foster child, with white foster parents worried about why she doesn’t love them enough. With a grown white woman gunning to mess up her creativity. Being used as a vehicle for revenge via another white woman.
Her face? Not on the poster.
I am done.
So what if she’s not a star. It’s NOT a damn bit part. She’s a character. Not all that minor either. But apparently y’know, she’s brown, so she is.
I am done.
Same.
I saw an ad for this in Star Magazine don’t judge me and while the movie blurb stressed her relevance to the plot, and even gave her props for being a talented up-and-coming actress with excellent comedic timing, there wasn’t a single shot of her in the preview images :/
